How to keep your head out of a bar’s overhanging barre and underhand press

As the barre reaches over a shoulder, the press should be pushed into the press bar and then pushed up over the bar.

If the press is in the air, it should not be pushed up.

You may be able to get away with it if you are not a strongman or barre athlete, but you will lose a lot of leverage over the press when the bar reaches over your shoulder.
